Webinar - Is Project Management relevant in an Agile Environment?
This Roundtable discussion with expert Project Managers and Agile practitioners will discuss the role of Project Management in contemporary Agile environments. Given Agile methodology is predominately geared to product management, what is the role of project management and the Project Manager? Whilst many programs and projects operate with a mix of development styles within application development, larger projects and programs have a wide range of drivers, particularly when it comes to Business Transformation where software development can be a smaller part of the overall programs deliverables. How do Project Managers with traditional project management methodology experience manage the agile environment and is there a need to now adjust our ideas of projects? We will explore the many collaborative systems and toolsets such as Confluence, Jira, Teams and the like and discuss if they satisfy the needs of the Project Manager and their Sponsors and Stakeholders. How do the project management disciplines of reporting and governance mesh with the agile environment and is there a gap? Are we creating more work or are we forgetting the fundamentals of management?
